Meet the Staff

Brad Carpenter                                                                              Senior Pastor

Born and raised in Michigan, Brad is one of the Senior Pastors of City of Grace / Living Grace Church.   He and his wife, Olivia transplanted to California in 2002 and consider themselves Californians through-and-through.   One of four brothers, Brad felt the tug of Christ at an early age and came to know Christ in Junior High.
Brad is the founding pastor of City of Grace Church at it’s inception as a church plant from a larger church in Roseville.  He and Olivia have three delightful kids; Flannery, Asher, and Story.

Daniel Yoon                                                                                             Senior Pastor

Originally from Southern California, Daniel is one of the Senior Pastors of City  of Grace / Living Grace Church.  Raised in a strong Christian home, it wasn’t until Pastor Daniel entered Junior High School that he came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. He understood that Christianity and his faith was about having a relationship with Him.

Daniel was the founding pastor of Living Grace Church, but before moving to Northern California he grew up pretty close to Disneyland (which means that he is a pretty avid fan of all the Southern CA sports teams).  He earned a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Philosophy from UC San Diego and a Master’s degree in Theology (Th.M) from Dallas Theological Seminary.

He is the husband of the love of his life, Karen and father to 3 wonderful kids, Joshua, Caleb and Abigail. In his spare time he likes to read, play the guitar, golf and hang out with his family. He loves pastoring, hanging out with and meeting new people, traveling and trying new things.

Kris Glass                                                                                                  Church Administrator

Kris, a native Californian, devotes her time to pursuing grace and learning all she can about what that looks like day-to-day.  Her tech,  admin and organization skills allow her to minister and tend to the needs of the church administratively, while her outgoing love for those around her and her gift of hospitality and mercy make a perfect fit for church health and growth.

Kris attended Cal Poly State University, and was a former PE teacher. Her hearts desire is to serve God’s people and the broken in the world.  She has been married to her supportive husband, Ken for 38 years, and they have two amazing adult children; Brady and Bryan, and one amazing daughter-in-law Shelby.  She has four Yorkies at home, and in her spare time she loves to blog, golf, play softball, assist with equine therapy, cheer the San Francisco 49ers and Giants on, and spend as much time with her family as humanly possible.

Sarah Lee                                                                                                  Co-Director of GraceKids Ministries (K-6th)

Karen Yoon                                                                                              Co-Director of GraceKids Ministries (K-6th)

Karen was born in Southern California and then moved to Davis after she got married.  She has three beautiful children who are in elementary school, junior high and high school. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school, going for walks at the arboretum, cheering for her kids at their sports games and watching HGTV.

The children’s ministry has been a ministry that she had a huge heart for since she was young. Karen finds joy in partnering with the pastors and parents to build young minds to be more curious about the Word of God and find peace knowing that Christ is their Lord and Savior.

Olivia Carpenter                                                                Director of Nursery Ministries
