Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” —Matthew 19:14
Worship on Sunday morning at City of Grace begins with families all together in the Fellowship Hall. Infants through 6th graders are then invited to head out to GraceKids during the sermon and then they return for communion at the end of the service.
GraceKids provides a safe and fun environment where excellent childcare, teaching and activities center on finding Jesus in the Bible and understanding His love.
A Letter to Parents
At City of Grace, we believe that our children play an important role in our community right now. Jesus said, “Unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3). There is no greater privilege than introducing kids to Jesus and shepherding their hearts toward God!
During each service, children (K to 6th grade) join us for music and then depart for a special Grace Kids time to be encouraged in the truth and learn the word of God. We are thrilled to partner with you to nurture and grow the children at City of Grace, as well as to encourage one another as we seek Jesus in our own lives.
Parents of Infants and toddlers are welcome to bring babies to our nursery to receive quality care in a loving atmosphere with many learning opportunities during each worship service. Olivia Carpenter oversees our Nursery Ministry, where littler ones can experience God’s love as caregivers talk with, sing to, and play with the children using clean and colorful toys in a safe and secure environment. Parents are encouraged to provide current information to help caregivers better understand their children’s needs and interests.
Currently in GraceKids, our elementary school students are taught by Sarah Lee and Karen Yoon with teaching assistants working alongside them, using a curriculum created especially for us with over 60 Bible stories from creation to the end of the Bible. Every week includes story time, comprehensive crafts and free play in our GraceKids area.
City of Grace volunteers undergo fingerprinting, intentional screening and safety training in addition to preparing as Bible teachers and caretakers.
We feel very blessed to partner with you to teach the hearts and minds of our little ones, and we look forward to getting to know you and your family at City of Grace.

Join the Grace Kids Team!
GraceKids is the umbrella over our Children’s Ministry here at City of Grace. It consists of our Nursery care and our GraceKids ministry (K-6th grade) which meet together during our 10:30 a.m. service for Bible teaching, creative play and fun. GraceKids volunteers are needed in two places:
- In the Nursery to loving care for infants and toddlers, play and enjoy the little ones until their parents return after service. If you would like to serve in this way please contact Olivia Carpenter to learn more abut what is required to get involved in this great team.
- In GraceKids (K-6th) to assist our team teachers with crafts and teaching, as well as pick-up. If you would like to serve in GraceKids (K-6th) please contact either Sarah Lee or Karen Yoon to learn more about what is required to get involved in this fun ministry.
